I am so grateful to you, dear Sisters, and especially to Sister Donald, for posting this talk. I listened twice. I thought, gratefully, of being in class with Sister Donald in 1978 at the IRF, and how her talks and friendship with dear Mother Assumpta OSB shaped my life. I thought of the wonderful image of pivot, and how the similar image of spiral has been with me for many years. I remembered a Holy Week stay at Big Sur in the 1970’s. There is so much in the talk that touched me. We RSMs of the Americas are preparing for a June Chapter and the question we will discern is, “God of Mercy, Wisdom and Mystery, who do you desire us to be now for one another and for our suffering world in order to continue our transformation toward greater integrity of word and deed?” Your words about sacred humanitas gave a deeper richness to the question. I am moved by the sense of widening the heart in relation to the question. Thanks so much, and I hope you will post more. You are a great gift to all who know you! Love, Gail RSM
I am so moved by this most important concept, so beautifully opened for us by Sr. Donald . Through Sacred Humanitas we are linked to the listening heart of St Benedict and the hearts of our fellow travelers on the planet.
I’ve had time to listen to the first now, and am inspired to set aside a time for sacred humanitas contemplation — to separate from the daily concerns and look within to see what is happening to compassion, empathy… — and what I’m doing about it. Anger is so prominent in my life now, being obsessed by distaste and indignation about what surrounds us (see my FB page: https://www.facebook.com/katherine.ashe.author)
Regarding Facebook, we at the M. M. Bennetts Award abandoned our WordPress blog because it was too difficult for people to access, add likes or comments — having to enter ones id and password and often even that didn’t work. It discouraged support. We’ve been very happy with our move entirely to Facebook where one can have a closed group but comments and access to posts are easy.
Thanks so much for sending Sr. Donald’s lectures. I mean to listen to the other later today.

Thank you, Sr. Shielah.
